Improving the quality of work in ways which benefit companies and employees – that is the central aim of the Initiative New Quality of Work. Founded in 2002 by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) and leading social partners, today the Initiative represents a nonpartisan alliance which includes Federal and State-level government, business associations, trade unions, the Federal Employment Agency, companies, social insurance providers and foundations.

  • We stand for a broad societal debate on the quality of work.
  • We develop concrete, tangible solutions for business practice – in close cooperation with companies and their employees.
  • We bring together, through our Network, those who want to shape employment in Germany.
  • We offer clear and comprehensible information about the future of work, as well as inspiring examples from company practice.

How do we want to work in future? The Initiative has been at the forefront of this debate on work satisfaction, sustainability and on making the world of work fit for the future since the outset. The Initiative is both an initiator of and an engine for regional and supra-regional cooperation, which enables and promotes knowledge transfer and experience exchange.
